The 2022 Sojourn Cellars Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon, composed of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, reveals a deep garnet-purple color. Aromas of black currant, crushed blue plum, and dark cherry mingle with subtle tones of mocha, dried bay leaf, and sandalwood from aging in 70% new French oak. The palate is plush and layered, unfolding with flavors of blackberry liqueur, cassis, and cocoa framed by velvety tannins and lively acidity. A touch of graphite and savory spice adds dimension as the wine flows toward a long, polished finish.

"Atlas Peak is located on the western slopes of the Vaca Mountains. Its history as a wine region began in the 1800s, but the Atlas Peak AVA was formally designated in 1992.

In 2022, we crafted a balanced and complex Cabernet Sauvignon with fruit from Stagecoach Vineyard and two impressive smaller vineyards on Atlas Peak to showcase the terroir of this distinctive mountainside. The lots from Stagecoach provided a structured foundation, while the neighboring vineyards contributed notes of blue and dark fruit, dark chocolate, silky tannins and minerality. This final blend is a bold and richly layered Cabernet Sauvignon, and it brilliantly embodies the essence of the Atlas Peak appellation." - Winery
