"The 2018 Saar Riesling Kabinett is beautifully clear and flinty on the attractively reductive and floral nose. On the palate, this is enormously mineral, salty and super tensioned Riesling with just 7.5% alcohol and a sweetness (68 grams per liter) that you don’t taste due to the salty-piquant and mineral finish. This is a stellar Kabinett and Riesling that freaks shouldn’t miss. How stimulating and mouthwatering! The grapes were sourced between September 23 and 25 from roughly 30-year-old vines in Niedermennig, Obermennig, Krettanch and Oberemmel and came in at 83° Oechsle. 26,000 bottles produced. A picture-book Kabinett. Tasted from AP 01 19 in June 2019."
