95 Pts Decanter

"Attractive plush stone fruits and honeydew melon cradled in creamy pastry and baked peach; enticing and velvety with a flourishing acidity and a herbaceous finish."

Description:

Château la Tour de l'Evêque is a stunningly beautiful property that sits in a hilly valley in the Côte des Provence. The current shepherds of this estate, the Sumiere family, are Provençal through and through; having been settled in this section of southern France since the 12th century! It goes without saying that they know a thing or two about incredible winemaking in this incredible region!

Le Petale de Rose (the rose petal) 2022 shows classic character for Provence rosé: salmon pink in the glass with melon and strawberry on the nose at first smell; gorgeous secondary notes (rose, citrus peel) burst from the glass following the fruit core. The palate is racy with bright acidity and excellent freshness - exactly what we look for in an incredible, thirst-quenching rose!
