"One of the best "tradition" wines I tasted during this extensive blind tasting was Domaine La Consonnière's 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape. A blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Mourvèdre raised partially in concrete and partly in demi-muids, it strikes a fine balance between being rich, ripe and creamy and detailed and elegant. Red cherries and berries are joined by gentle spice notes on the long, silky finish. It should drink well for 15 years."
