"An alluring, perfumy style, with a lovely note of incense leading the way for lightly mulled fig, plum and raspberry fruit flavors. The finish is fine-grained, with an iron accent providing the framework while the fruit plays out. As stylish as this is, there's some serious latent grip too. Should cellar nicely. Best from 2016 through 2026. 100 cases imported." |

"All of these 2013s from Charbonnière were outstanding. The 2013 Chateauneuf du Pape les Hautes Brusquières Cuvee Spéciale is probably my favorite of the three 2013s and it offers pretty, classy notes of violets, pepper, cassis and black cherries, and it shows the cooler nature of the vintage in its focused, pure style." |
Description:
The fourth generation Veronique and Caroline have both been working at the domain for some years and since the beginning of 2014 they have taken over the responsability. Veronique has been responsible for the wine making since 2007. Mireille and Michel still work hard at the domain.
Since 2000 most of the grapes have been destemmed, and since a few years truncated wooden tanks have been used for fermenting of the red wines to make them more enjoyable and fruity in their youth." - Winery
