A gorgeous, vivid nose reminiscent of purple flowers, dark cherries and stones with hints of cedar. This has lush, juicy fruits and a beautiful line of acidity that goes on and on to a lovely, layered, flavorful finish. |

"On the nose some really great red fruit - a little red pepper mixed with strawberry jam. Extremely smooth. This is so great. On the palate, cola, beef jerky, strawberry ... this is so great. $40 quality pinot on the palate. This is a monster effort" |
90 Pts Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate |
"The 2013 Pinot Noir Stewart has a pale ruby color and nose of kirsch, baked raspberries and underbrush with wafts of Mediterranean herbs and damp soil. Medium-bodied with a good intensity of mature, perfumed red berry flavors, it has soft tannins and a racy acid line, finishing long." |
Description:
"Guided by both tradition and science, we use minimal intervention techniques in our winery. Every stage of the process is done by hand, including harvesting, sorting, punching down, and racking. Fermenting with native yeasts lets us highlight the unique qualities of each vineyard, bringing every aspect of terroir into the cellar. We taste, blend and taste some more, age our Pinot noirs for a year and a half in barrel, bottle, and release the wines six months to a year later.
Boedecker Cellars is a community made up of dedicated and hardworking folks. Our winemaking team consists of Stewart, Athena, friends and family. During harvest, everyone comes to help, putting in 12- to 14-hour days in the cellar, sharing in the craft and creation of our wines." - Winery
