91 Pts Neal Martin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Chateau Poitevin has a delightful, perfumed bouquet with black cherries, blueberry and a touch of incense. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very pure and feminine with a caressing, blueberry and cassis-tinged finish. Bon vin! This is by far and away the best wine that I have tasted from this Médoc estate. Tasted September 2017."

Description:

Poitevin is one of those names that seem to over-perform in great vintages. We had sold case after case of their 2010 vintage years ago. This vintage may be even better… As Neal Martin states it, this vintage may even be the best of all recent vintages:

"Bon vin! This is by far and away the best wine that I have tasted from this Médoc estate”.

"This vintage was already highlighted before it was harvested. one word : well balanced which means it will be good, getting better and better every year. It has a lot of structure, is complex, and reveals all its aromas during the tasting : from the nose to the mouth with a very pleasent finish. We find red fruits and spices with hints of oak." - Winery
