"'Schietto' is a line of single-varietal wines. The word means 'sincere, straightforward' and Francesco Spadafora aims at bringing through the best possible representation of each varietal. Nero d'Avola 'Schietto' is a reserve bottling made with 100% certified organic grapes. Vinified in cement vats, only 50% of the wine sees large oak barrels for 12 months, the rest ages in stainless steel. Rich, ruby red in color. The bouquet opens with wild berries, with enveloping and penetrating aromatic persistence. The mouthfeel is thick and opulent.
