90 Pts Neal Martin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate |
"Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Chateau l'Argenteyre has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, bilberry, sous bois and tobacco scents that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, good structure and an insistent grip on the finish that is backed up by clean and fresh fruit. I like the sturdiness of this Médoc, coupled with just the right amount of finesse. Tasted September 2017." |
Description:
An almost black ruby red with purple tints denoting the youthfulness of this wine. Beautifully expressive nose with notes of plum and blackberry and a touch of toast and vanilla. A silky texture envelops the firm structure typical of the appellation and an exceptional vintage. Focused, lingering finish with roasted notes, the sign of careful ageing. No doubt about it, this is another step up the quality scale for a wine which has never ceased to distinguish itself for quite a number of vintages. Wait another few years before opening." - Winery
