"The 2013 Arcan is a young, approachable Albariño, a blend of own and purchased grapes from Noalla in Sanxenxo, Meaño and other small plots in the Salnés valley fermented in stainless steel and kept in contact with the lees for 10 months before bottling. The nose is a mixture of white flowers, fresh fruit and a clear saline, marine aroma, but what is amazing is how salty the wine is in the palate; some vineyards are literally 500-600 meters away from the sea, which certainly gives its imprint to the wine. The wine is round and fleshy, with great acidity and the saline sensation plus the fresh acidity makes you salivate and look for the seafood. I was really impressed. Great! 9,500 bottles were produced. " Reviewed Jan, 2015 |
Description:
The family behind the bottle has been producing wines for their own consumption and for beachgoing passersby for quite some time. However, it has only been within the last decade that they began exporting. Despite their growth, the family holds true to tradition, employing organic growing methods and harvesting their estate grapes by hand. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to offer an exceptional white: an "old world" family tradition and a little taste of seaside living.
