"This wine represents an excellent value, and one that showcases the quality potential of Langhorne Creek. It's creamy in texture, voluptuous in feel and full in body, with a bold flavor of red currant that's framed by ample cedar and vanilla notes. Long and creamy on the finish. Drink now - 2018." Reviewed February 2013. |
Description:
"This opulent Shiraz displays intense ripe plum, black cherry and mulberry flavors with hints of chocolate, spice and distinctive mint, characteristic of Shiraz from Langhorne Creek vineyards.
The richly concentrated flavors are complemented by superb oak integration, great depth and complexity thanks to meticulous fruit selection. The grapes are picked at peak ripeness, gently handles and matured in French and American oak barrels for 22 months. While this wine will reward medium to long term cellaring, it is also ready to reward medium to long term cellaring, it is also ready to be enjoyed now. This wine is an ideal accompaniment to scotch fillet with herb butter, succulent slow-roasted lamb shanks and braised beef cheek with seasoned vegetables." - Nigel Dolan, Chief Winemaker
