Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

90 Pts Neal Martin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2009 Crianza is sourced from Rioja Alta and Alavesa: pure Tempranillo aged in French and American barrels for 12 months. It has a perfumed bouquet of ripe strawberry and Morello, with well-integrated oak that allows the fruit to shine. The palate is very supple and rounded on the entry with corpulent red cherry and cassis fruit. The finish is well-defined, crisp and vibrant, lingering nicely in the mouth. Drink now-2019."

"Brother and sister Carlos and Pilar Martinez-Bujanda run Vina Bujanda, their family having made wine since 1889. However, this is recent addition to the Riojan landscape, since the estate was only established in the village of Oyon in 2009. They oversee 14 parcels of vine aged between 20 and 60 years. I was impressed by this small portfolio of recent releases that were crisp, lively, balanced and natural, the kind of wines that compel you to keep refilling your glass." (08/12)

Description:

WINE:
"Vina Bujanda Crianza is made from 100% Tempranillo and comes from the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa vineyards. The grapes are harvested in the first week of October and are fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in French and American oak. Vina Bujanda Crianza, made from 100% Tempranillo has an excellent balance. It has low to moderate acidity. The palate consists of fresh strawberries and spice that age into flavours of rich cherry and tobacco. Pair with cured ham, paellas, and spicy beef dishes." -Importer

WINERY:
"Vina Bujanda is owned by the brother-and-sister team Carlos and Pilar Martínez-Bujanda Irribarria, whose family has been making wine since 1889. The estate was established in 2009 in the small village of Oyon near Logrono, completing the range of wines offered by Familia Martínez-Bujanda." -Importer

VINEYARDS:
"The old-vine estate vineyards consist of 14 small parcels that are between 20 and 60 years old and that are cultivated separately to take advantage of the various microclimates and soil types. These vineyards are located within the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa subregions of DOCa Rioja. Both areas offer a balanced, structured soil composition of sand, lime and clay. They are also slightly alkaline, with moderate water in the summer. Natural organic matter is used to fertilize the vineyards, as stems, skins and pruning remains are put back into the earth. This combination of soils and natural farming infuses the fruit with distinctive characteristics that result in wines of exceptional quality." -Importer
