Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

94 Pts James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com

"Aromas of blueberries and cherries. Lovely intensity to this. Full body, with velvety tannins and a long and lovely finish. This is extremely well done for the vintage. From organic grapes. Drink or hold." (02/13)

93 Pts Wine Enthusiast

"All the elements of this Brunello work beautifully together. The bouquet is redolent of soft black fruit, plum cake, leather, spice and tobacco and the wine shows thick, velvety concentration in the mouth. The tannins are supple and firm and there's a touch of bright acidity that is not too sharp or in any way unbalanced. -M.L." (05/13)

92 Pts Antonio Galloni - Vinous

"What a pleasure it is to taste La Rasina's 2008 Brunello di Montalcino after the somewhat disappointing 2007. One of the richer, more voluptuous wines of the vintage, the 2008 saturates the palate with expressive dark fruit, mocha, espresso, violets and cloves. As always, the style here is one that favors textural richness and depth, yet all the elements are in gorgeous balance. This generous, inviting Brunello is superb today and should continue to drink well for at least a handful of years." (09/13)

91 Pts Ian Dagata - Vinous Media

"Bright red with a pale rim. Aromatic notes of cardamom and cumin complicate red cherry and berries on the bright, deep nose. Seamless flavors of ripe red cherry, red plum and flowers carry through to a pure, long finish. Very promising Brunello." (08/13)

Description:

"Very dark, impenetrable ruby with narrow, bright orange rim. Sweet, opulent, candied fruit and orange peel and hints of spicy oak. Cherry compote palate without real tension. A winemaker’s wine rather than terroir. Drying tannic finish. Drink 2013 to 2018. (WS)" (01/13) 15.5 out of 20 points, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages

WINE:
"Chocolate covered cherries, blackberries, complex and vibrant sensations of candid fruits and spices woven around finest tannins. Surprisingly enjoyable now, but good to keep for at least 20 years." -Importer

WINERY:
"La Rasina is located on the fine southeastern slope, or morning side of Montalcino in the Brunello DOCG area. Rolling hills with roses climbing over the old walls of the main house create an atmosphere of loving attention in this small family run property. Separate buildings on the estate have been restored for Agri-tourism. There are fewer and fewer of them, but this estate is still a true Montalcino born, family run estate."

"La Rasina was founded in the early 1970s by the grandfather of the Mantengoli family, Santi. Later managed by Vasco, his son, and now by Marco, his grandson, the estate shows the dedication and excellence of an endeavor kept in the hands of one hardworking family over many years. Recent recognition given to Marco Mantengoli at La Rasina included top ratings and awards at literally every wine review published on Brunello." -Importer
