We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

More Ratings:

91 Pts Josh Raynolds - Vinous Media

"(100% monastrell, from vines that were planted between 1935 and 1970; malo and 20 months of elevage in French oak): Bright purple. Complex, perfumed scents of dark berry liqueur, cola, incense and smoky oak spices. Plush and expansive, offering sweet cherry compote and blueberry flavors complicated by notes of floral pastille and bitter chocolate. At once rich and lively, finishing with excellent power, smooth tannins and a late jolt of allspice. Boasts surprising vivacity for its depth and richness." (10/13)

91 Pts Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2011 Tarima Hill is made from old vine Mourvedre grown at a high elevation of 2,000-2,500 feet. Aged 20 months in French oak, its sensational inky/purple color is followed by a sweet bouquet of acacia flowers, blueberry liqueur, blackberries and graphite, and a full-bodied, rich mouthfeel. This sensational red wine could easily sell for three to five times the price with no complaints. It should age easily for another 5-6 years."

"Bodegas Volver, a joint venture between importer Jorge Ordonez and Rafael Canizares, produces wines from huge holdings of 252 acres in La Mancha, 457 acres in Alicante and 125 acres in Jumilla. Some of the wines are fashioned from organic grapes, which is made clear on the label." (11/13)

Description:

Vineyard:
"Bodegas Volver currently owns some 185 hectares in Alicante. Some of the vines are ungrafted. New acreage is currently under development. The vines age from 40 to 75 years old. Tarima Hill's vines are planted in the Vaso system, in an all-natural (almost organic) process with no irrigation. The combination of soil profile and diverse altitudes within this very small area sets up a micro-climate that is predominately Continental along with some Mediterranean influence. This results in a balanced acidity and sugar content." - Winery

Vinification:
"The wine is 100% stainless steel fermented with some stirring of the lees to attain the maximum expression of the variety." - Winery
