Cinderella Wine says: Product Details:
Please note, tonight's wine is available on presale and is set to arrive in mid April.

Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

More Ratings:

94 Pts Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The brilliant 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos actually has more Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend than the grand vin (69% versus 65%) in addition to mostly Merlot and a small quantity of Petit Verdot. As powerful as the Cos in terms of alcoholic clout (14.5%), the full-bodied, round, generous Les Pagodes de Cos exhibits lots of creme de cassis and floral notes intermixed with hints of wood/barrique and spice. Juicy, succulent and remarkably fresh and well-delineated, it merits considerable attention from consumers. It should drink well for 15-20 years. Oddly enough, the second wine is superior to many vintages of Cos in the 1960s 1970s and 1980s!" (02/12)

93 Pts James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com

"Spices, nutmeg, dark fruits on the nose, follow through to a full body, with very precise tannins and a long finish. A beautiful and racy wine. Second wine of Cos d'Estournel. Better in 2017." (02/12)

93 Pts Wine Enthusiast

"Very rich, smooth tannins, super-ripe fruit dominate the wine. It has power, spice and sweetness, very ripe. Blackberry and dark chocolate. -R.V." (03/11)

91 Pts Wine Spectator

"Remarkably lush and supple for the appellation, yet not lacking in density, with rich plum, cassis and blackberry confiture notes leading the way and flickers of charcoal, tobacco and singed iron keeping the almost-flattering finish honest. Approachable, but this should knit nicely with mid-term cellaring. Drink now through 2023. 10,000 cases made. -JM" (03/12)

Description:

"Very concentrated and almost burnt on the nose. Lacks a bit of freshness. Very sweet and OTT. Rather unlike St-Estephe. Rich and exotic with a hint of roses. Hot finish. Drink 2016 to 2030. (JR)" 16 out of 20 points, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages (01/13)

WINE:
"Les Pagodes de Cos is, strictly speaking, Cos d'Estournel's 'second wine'. The vines that produce it are eventually used for the 'Grand Vin' which is an 1855 Grand Cru Classe. They are grown on the same terroir and are treated in the same way. They are simply younger and their roots have yet to grow to their full depth in the gravelly soil. Powerful, very aromatic, long on the palate, with a very persistent finish, Les Pagodes de Cos is a wine of refinement and pleasure, to be drunk within ten years of its bottling at the chateau." -Winery
