2008 - Zanzibar Sandra Red:
"A distinctive minerality, reminiscent of warm rain on flagstones, runs through the flavor profile of this elegant, refined and powerful red. Dark berry and licorice notes also come through as the finish persists. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2016. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 900 cases made. -H.S." (08/11) - 92 Pts Wine Spectator

Wine:
"A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah from Columbia valley vineyards, grapes are hand harvested and undergo small batch whole berry fermentation and extended maceration to ensure the development of remarkable and supple structure and body. Malolactic fermentation is completed in 100% new French oak barrels, where the wine continues to age and mature for 12 months until it is bottled. It will then be cellared for the next 12 months before it is released." - Winery

2009 - Zonte's Footstep Baron Von Nemesis Shiraz :
"Smooth and round, wrapped in a layer of fine tannins. The exotic flavors of cherry, guava, goji berry and tropical spices billow easily on the long finish. Best from 2014 through 2020. 100 cases imported." (05/12) - 92 Pts Wine Spectator

Wine:
"Barossa blood red - i.e. deep crimson with a purple hue. On the nose, super blackberries and pure unadulterated 99% Cocoa chocolate. Lifted blood plum and raspberries and some dark pepper and brambly spice smells. On the palate there are generous black fruits, like mulberries and boysenberries, a full and frank Shiraz start. Classic Barossa; generous, flavoursome and super sweet blackberry pie with dark, dry chocolate mouth feel. Sweet fruit then tightens up with fine fruit and oak tannin. Great flavour and composition. Sweet spice cuts through plus hints of jamminess. On the finish there is youthful austerity as you would expect from such a classic old school Shiraz, but there is also plenty of fineness to the tannin and dark chocolate nuances in the lengthy finish." - Winery

This was also scored 89 Points by the Australian Wine Companion, and 85 Points in the Wine Advocate.

2009 - Pujanza Hado Rioja :
"Vivid ruby. Primary cherry and dark berry aromas are brightened by Asian spices and smoky minerals. Firm and focused, with lively, spice-accented cherry and blackberry flavors, solid minerality and silky tannins. Very fresh and focused Rioja, with a spicy, refreshingly bitter finish." (10/11) - 90 Pts Josh Raynolds - International Wine Cellar

"The 2009 Pujanza Hado was sourced from Bodegas Pujanza's younger vines (20-35 years of age) and aged for 12 months in seasoned French oak. It gives up an alluring nose, particularly at this level, of fragrant spices, cedar, leather, lavender, black cherry, and blackberry. Surprisingly rich (likely as a result of the vintage), deep, and structured, this succulent Rioja is an outstanding value meant for drinking over the next 8-10 years." (06/11) - 90 Pts Jay Miller - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"This is a high-quality Rioja at a mid-level price, featuring admirable richness and depth of flavor, but also the bright freshness that marks Tempranillo from the cool climate in the Rioja Alavesa sub-district. Oak notes are mercifully restrained by Rioja standards, permitting the fresh fruit to express its red and dark cherry notes. Medium-bodied, with plenty of fine-grained tannin, this will improve for up to a decade, but can certainly be enjoyed now with food." (04/12) - 90 Pts Wine Review Online

Wine:
"Produced from estate grown fruit from vines between 20 and 35 years old. The vineyards all lie above 600 meters in elevation and are composed of chalky clay. The grapes are hand harvested and see a 5 day pre-fermentation maceration. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in 15,000 L stainless steel tanks and undergoes 4 pump-overs per day. Following alcoholic fermentation the skins see a further 20 post fermentation maceration. The wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, half second fill and half third fill, prior to bottling." -Importer

This wine was also rated 88 Points by the Wine Enthusiast and 86 Points by the Wine Spectator.

2010 - Ampeleia Kepos :
"The 2010 Kepos is striking in this vintage. Dark cherries, plums, spices, licorice and tobacco are some of the notes that jump from the glass. Sweet herbal nuances appear later, adding complexity and aromatic lift. This is a hugely intriguing wine from Ampeleia that constantly changes in the glass. The Kepos will be fascinating to follow over the next handful of years as it starts to settle down in bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020."

"I was deeply impressed with the wines I tasted from Ampeleia this year. Every time I went back to the wines, I found a new shade of dimension. A gradual conversion to biodynamic farming and an increased use of cement vats are stripping these wines to the bare essentials, and what comes through more often than not these days is pure class." (06/12) - 92 Pts Antonio Galloni - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"A lovely strawberry and raspberry nose. Aromatic and perfumed. I like the acidity; turns savory. Delicious and clearly outstanding. A Maremma red from Foradori's Elisabetta Foradori from Trentino." (04/13) - 91 Pts James Suckling - JamesSuckling.com

"Full, bright ruby-red. Redcurrant and pomegranate on the nose, with spicy and herb notes emerging with air. More wound-up and less fruity than the Unilitro bottling, hinting at sweet red berry and spice flavors with a strong undercurrent of underbrush. Gains flesh with air but this will need a couple years in the cellar to open fully. Finishes firm and very persistent. One of the better Kepos vintages to date." (09/12) - 90+ Pts Ian Dagata - International Wine Cellar

Wine:
"Five Mediterranean grape varieties from the vineyards of Ampeleia di Sotto blended in a single wine. These are the winery's vineyards closest to the sea, where the Mediterranean scrub dominates the landscape permeating the air with its fragrances: this is Kepos, the authentic and natural interpretation of Ampeleia's warmest and most radiant nature."- Winery

This wine was also scored 89 Points by the Wine Spectator.

2011 - Domaine Thibert Saint Veran Champs Rond :
"This is also very reduced, indeed so much so that it's impossible to say anything other than the underlying fruit appears ripe. There is however markedly good vibrancy to the textured, intense and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess a lovely sense of balance on the beautifully long finish that offers just a bit more overall depth compared to the Cuvee Traditionelle." (10/12) - 89-91 Pts Allen Meadows - Burghound

2012 - Rosa Del Golfo Rosato :
Wine:
"Colour rose with coral reflections. Bouquet intense bouquet with perfumes of fruit and wild flowers. Palate silky and generous with persistent fruit. Negroamaro 90% and Malvasia Nera Leccese 10%" - Winery
