You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

"For the price, this is one of the best Santa Lucia Highlands Pinots of the vintage. Just a lovely wine to drink now, showing fine dryness, acidity and silkiness. The flavors are of rose hip tea, cola, sour cherry candy, toasty oak, tobacco and exotic spices. Editors' Choice" (05/12)

Description:

Wine:
"This is a classically-styled Pinot that truly embodies what the Santa Lucia Highlands does best. The aromatics are inviting, ranging from candied cherries to smoky tobacco. Bright cherry and strawberry provide a ripe fruit forwardness and big opening, while vanilla, toasted oak, and hints of violet fill out the mid-palette giving way to a graceful, lingering finish. Firm tannins coupled with a very mild acidity provides the perfect balance of velvety-smooth yet dynamic mouthfeel. A pleasing and approachable way to experience the true essence of Pinot Noir grown and made in the Santa Lucia Highlands." - Winery

Vineyard:
"Lucia Highland Vineyard is located in the northern region of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation of Monterey County and just a stone's throw across the street from our winery. Its proximity to the cool maritime influences of the Monterey Bay allows the fruit to ripen slowly, producing world-class Pinot Noir with intense, up-front berry fruit flavors, seductive texture, and silky tannins. The vineyard is trellised to a Vertical Shoot Position (VSP) system that allows maximum sun exposure to the berries during ripening." - Winery

Winemaking:
"The Lucia Highlands Vineyard is comprised of several Dijon clones as well as other proprietary clones that are now co-fermented and barreled separately. The grapes were only lightly crushed into small fermentors, in which nearly 40% of the berries were left whole. A Burgundian yeast culture, known for bold flavors and aromas, as well as native yeast was used for fermentation. Allowed to barrel age "sur lees" and occasionally stirred for eleven months, this wine possesses stylish complexity." - Winery
