"This pretty Moscato d'Asti shows a rich, creamy quality, thanks to the sweet tones of honey, peach and exotic fruit that drive the bouquet. The texture is sticky and thick, but a zesty touch of fresh acidity shows up right at the end to keep the palate refreshed." (05/12)

Description:

Wine:
"Straw yellow with green highlights. Intense and intoxicating. The aromatic varietal tones are arranged in delicate floral nuances such as jasmine, rose, sage and mint memories of d tones of peach, apricot, pineapple and banana. On the palate it is a natural lively wine, and the sweet and aromatic taste is accompanied by a fresh final citrusy with a long persistence."

"To preserve the wine all the fragrance of the fruit technique is necessary for the collection and special vinification. The grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the company, are harvested by hand in the vineyard and stored carefully in boxes for transport to the winery, here are gently pressed and the juice thus obtained is stored in storage tanks (-1.5 degrees C and 0 % alcohol) until processing in the autoclave. The second fermentation takes place in temperature controlled and with the help of selected yeasts until it reaches 5 % alcohol. Then the wine is filtered and bottled. The result is a lively wine with strong varietal characteristics and intense." - Winery

"Produced from an ultra-soft pressing of the white Muscat grape, this stylishly elegant wine blends the slightly "frizzante" sweetness of Moscato d'Asti with vibrant, concentrated, tropical fruit flavors, great complexity, refreshing, crisp acidity and a pristinely fresh, clean finish. 3000 cases. Held in tank under pressure and bottled to order." - Importer

Producer:
"The young, passionate, Gianni Doglia, along with his sister Paola own five hectares of vineyards with 20-year-old vines near the village of Castagnole Lanze in the heart of the Asti district of Piemonte. The Doglia Moscato is uniquely held under pressure in tanks, as grape must and then the wine is finished and bottled to order, ensuring the absolute, freshest possible expression of Moscato d'Asti throughout the vintage. Within a category that is normally dedicated to large, commercial, volume production, Doglia's estate grown vineyards produce a miniscule, quantity of 3000 cases of artisan made Moscato d'Asti, whose quality is unmatched in the Moscato category." - Importer
