Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

90 Pts David Schildknecht - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2010 Chenas Quartz Domaine Piron & Lameloise - bottled for one week when I tasted it - reflects the quartzite-rich soil in which it grows in mouthwatering salinity and an active sense of mineral impingement. Like the corresponding Morgon Cote de Py, 40% of this matured in demi-muid, and given the concentration of ripe but tart red raspberry and sour cherry that abounds all the way through to an exuberant finish, the raw material was clearly in little danger of sacrificing primary juiciness to wood. This should benefit from a year in bottle and drink deliciously for several thereafter. (The 2009 - recently showing as impressively today as it did when I reported on it for issue 190 - was also labeled as "Quartz," although the Pirons anticipated at the time I tasted it that they would be compelled to indicate only the initial "Q," a circumstance on which I duly but as it turns out misleadingly reported.)" 90 Pts Josh Raynolds - Vinous Media

"Vivid ruby. Aromas and flavors of wild red berries, minerals and candied rose, with a smoky nuance and a touch of cracked pepper. Racy, focused and pure, with very good depth to its raspberry and bitter rhubarb flavors. Shows impressive clarity and energy on the finish, which is spicy and long." (04/12)

Description:

"Managed by Dominique Piron, 14th-generation winemaker, and his wife Kristine Mary, Domaine Piron is a winery with 60 hectares of traditionally bush-trained vines that average 50 years old. Domaine Piron specializes in the Beaujolais appellation of Morgon but also produces wine from the appellations of Beaujolais, Beaujolais-Villages, Regnie, Brouilly, Moulin-a-Vent, Fleurie, Chenas, Beaujolais and Bourgogne Blanc. Domaine Piron is dedicated to cultivating their vines with a deep respect for nature and the expression of the soils."

"Piron's Chenas may be the benchmark bottling for the smallest appellation in Beaujolais. Bearing the title "Quartz" in deference to the high mineral content of its soils, Chenas combines both the power of Morgon with the aromatics of Julienas, and is considered one of the Beaujolais crus most suited to long-term aging."

"Piron is highly respected in France. He once produced this wine in cooperation with famed Burgundy producer Lafont, but since 2007 has bottled his Chenas as the house bottling of three-star Michelin restaurant Hotel Lameloise. Today, the label bears the name of Lameloise alongside Piron as a testament to this relationship." - Importer
