"The vineyard is in the cooler Green Valley, although you wouldn't know it from the label. The wine shows considerable crispness and dryness, with moderate alcohol. There are some tabasco and balsam notes grounding the richer cherry and sandalwood flavors. It's enormously elegant, a smooth, complex, silky Pinot Noir that should develop through the next six years. -S.H." (11/10) |

On the palate the wine has great concentration of flavors but it is supple and silky, with notes of clove and cinnamon plus a trace of peat and forest floor.
