93 Pts John Gilman - View from the Cellar

"The top of the line bottling from Jacques Picard is an outstanding example of the vintage. The bouquet is deep, complex and classy, as it jumps from the glass in a blaze of tart orange, apple, fresh-baked bread, lovely soil tones and a touch of fresh nutmeg in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and complex, with beautiful balance, a fine core of fruit, bright acids, quite refined mousse, and excellent length and grip on the classy finish. Just a lovely bottle of bubbly that is drinking splendidly today and should have absolutely no difficulties aging gracefully for a couple of decades. High class juice. 2010-2030."

92 Pts Josh Raynolds - Vinous Media

"(70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay; raised in two-year-old barriques). Pale gold with an energetic mousse. Smoky orange, floral honey and mineral aromas expand with air, picking up subtle herbal and green tea qualities. Vivid orange and honey flavors display impressive depth, with a jolt of back-end minerality adding vivacity. Finishes with brisk, tangy notes of citrus pith and dusty minerals. Lots going on here already, but I'd stash this baby away for at least a few more years."

Description:

WINE:
"This is a selection of old vines, aged in oak casks, with batonnage. Focused on creating an elegant Champagne, the nose is redolent with citrus fruits and toasty notes. Marked by freshness and finesse, the mouthfeel is complex." -Winery

WINERY:
"When looking at the typicity of wines from different Champagne villages lets us define all of the unique crus. The 17 hectares owned by Champagne Jacques Picard are found in 3 of the cry level vineyards around Reims and Epernay."

"Our vineyard parcels have taught us to respect their identity. The average age of the vines is 25 years, and combined with the special terroir and exposition, this gives each different aromatic profiles. All vineyard work is completed by hand- this permits us to adapt to each parcel and its unique needs." -Winery
