"A beautiful, lush Chardonnay, made in the ripe California style. Rich and creamy, marked with brisk acidity, it shows wonderful flavors of pineapples, roasted marshmallows, buttered toast and vanilla, with a tart, spicy scour of lime. Brilliant and complex. The vineyards were a combination of Sierra Madre and Bien Nacido." 94 Points - Wine Enthusiast

WIINE:
"The truly distinctive flavors from the cool Northern and Western extremes of Santa Barbara County come together in this bottle. Here, our love of blending has resulted in a marriage of exceptional fruit aromas with carefully balanced acidity, capturing the best qualities of the area. Honeydew melon, Asian pear, orange blossom, as well as citrus notes are highlighted in this appealingly crisp white wine."

"The grapes for our Santa Barbara County Chardonnay hail from three cool climate vineyards within the County – Bien Nacido, Sierra Madre and Goodchild vineyards in Santa Maria Valley. After being pressed and settled, the juice was barrel fermented in a mixture of new (40%) and older French oak barrels. The lees were stirred for four months, and the wine underwent a full malolactic fermentation. The Chardonnay aged nine months in barrel before being released" -Winemaker

ESTATE:
"John and Helen Falcones’ decision to join Rusack was prompted in large part by their desire to get “back to hand crafting wines” and their belief that Santa Barbara County is now one of the best places for a small-production winery to live up to its potential for producing great wines. “With its diversity of microclimates and soil, Santa Barbara County has the potential to equal the reputation of the world’s finest winemaking regions,” John Falcone notes. “Rusack is dedicated to producing world-class wines, and this is a great opportunity to make the great wines that I know this area can produce.”

"When they acquired the property, Geoff and Alison Rusack invested in a complete upgrade of the winemaking facilities, installing the most up-to-date equipment. The owners’ vision is for Rusack to offer a limited production of ultra-premium wines that will appeal to connoisseurs. According to Geoff Rusack, “With us quality must be our first priority.” -Winery
