Dark and rich, with a large but remarkably pure core of dark fig, black currant and blackberry fruit all held together by hints of loam, graphite and Turkish coffee. They have made enormous strides since 2000 and 2007 was one of their first truly exceptional vintages!
The style here is full, rich, dense, and powerful. With almost 13 years of age on it, this wine is finally starting to integrate properly with a simply delicious palate. 2007 was no ordinary vintage in CDP, it was one of the most monumental and stands next to the likes of 2016 and 2010. The weather cooperated perfectly and nursed the vines to their full potential resulting in wines of unbelievable complexity.
It is so rare to find wines from this vintage available now, especially at such a phenomenal price!
