This modern style Rioja is dark & opaque & begins with inviting aromas of dark cherries & blackberries along with spices, toast, vanilla, & spring florals all taking shape. Full-bodied & supple with nice overall balance, as the ripe dark fruits are underlined by a lovely touch of acidity that provides a sense of freshness through the finish. Delicious now & should also hold up nicely with a few years of bottle age.
