"I was blown away by the prodigious fruit in the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Chante le Merle Vieilles Vignes. Quantities are only maybe half of the 2016, so you can imagine how concentrated and rich this baby is. Waves of raspberry and cherry fruit are seductive on the nose, then crash over the palate with a tsunami of concentration and power. If time in the cellar can coax some additional elegance out of the wine, it could be a candidate for perfection."

"A nice shiny red colour with dark purple highlights. The nose is elegant and complex. This very aromatic Chateauneuf-du-Pape is elegant and long in mouth. A powerful wine with a cellar potential for many years.

The philosophy of the “BOSQUET DES PAPES” domain aims at producing long term storage wines, following the strictest Châteauneuf du Pape tradition.

Our wine are very distinctive, with a lot of matters, tannins, flavours and a beautiful purple colour becoming “tuilée” with the time.

They reach their fullness after the sixth or the seventh year. They can be kept for ten to fifteen years, sometimes even more." - Winery
