"My favorite in the lineup was the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Moonspell, which is 94% Cabernet and 6% Petit Verdot that spent 20 months in 33% new French, American and Hungarian oak. A borderline fruit bomb, it has tons of ripe cassis, licorice, toasted spice and vanilla oak in a ripe, full-throttle, textured style. It lacks nuance and complexity, but I looove it’s fruit. I suspect it will keep for at least a decade, but I don’t see any need to delay gratification either."

"This wine is one of our finest Cabernets that we have made to date. Selective vineyards and winemaking practices were utilized to create a powerful yet balanced Cabernet Sauvignon that demonstrates the advantages that WA State has in the world of winemaking- longer growing days, deficit irrigation and minerally rich soils from the Missoula Floods thousands of years ago. This Cabernet Sauvignon is one that you will want to enjoy for many years to come as it develops in the bottle and with aging. Cheers!

The beginning is earthy, tobacco, blackberry and plum. The remainder of the nose is intense cassis. Deep and Darth Vader Dark, the palate is intense blackberry with a light dusting of cedar. Fine integrated tannins create a latticework around a black cherry core." - Winery
