Our #1 Supertuscan value, the 2014 Capanne Ricci Ricciolo hails from the 95 Pt Brunello producer Capanne Ricci!! It's super solid and a great wine to have around the house for any night of the week. We love the Brunello from this producer (the 2010 scored 95 pts!) and finally, something in the $10 range that you can open anytime. Medium to full bodied, great fruit, silky finish - this is a tremendous value, period!!

"Ricciolo is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Syrah. All the grapes are sources from vineyards in Montalcino thus making this a true value for quality wine.
Deep ruby red, Ricciolo displays rich fruit aromas with a hint of spice. Dry and full-bodied backed by pleasant tannins and a long finish. Best enjoyed with roasts, grilled meat, game, salami and practically all of the dishes of the traditional Tuscan cuisine." - Importer

"The âTenimenti Ricciâ Estate located in SantâAngelo is one of the older and more traditional rural establishments in this area of Brunello production. Ferruccio Ricci and his sister Ida, who manage the estate, are deeply rooted in family traditions and Montalcinese wine making, with a modern and youthful approach. The cellar has been recently restored and equipped with temperature conditioning rooms. There, the wine is made, aged in barrels made of Slovanian oak and then bottled. The vineyards cover about 12 hectares concentrating on the Sangiovese grape, planted in a privileged position on the land." - Importer
