"Bright gold. Poached pear, honey and musky herbs on the perfumed nose. Lush, creamy and dense, offering an array of orchard and pit fruit flavors and a bracing jolt of bitter lemon pith. Pretty wild stuff, finishing with strong punch and persistent floral, anise and sweet butter qualities. This one is bound to freak a few people out." Reviewed September, 2013 |

"The 2012 Garnatxa Blanca displays a medium gold hue and has an effusive nose of herbs, chamomile and notes of dried honeycomb and mango. It is nicely balanced with crisp acidity and steely steely freshness and minerals on the finish." Reviewed November 2013 |
Description:
"Jordi Miró acquired his first vineyard in 1999 and built his own winery in 2009. His grandfather Francisco Miró Brunet was the first family member to plant a vineyard in the early 1900s. On his motherâs side of the family his grandfather, born in 1917, Jaume Diego Rius, was a renowned grafter (a professional that grafts vines) and an expert in the work of the vineyard, the relationship between lunar cycles with the tasks of the vineyards and everything related to the cultivation. Traditionally, in the Terra Alta, whites and reds were produced by the skin contact maceration process.
This wine combines the idea of the traditional production (24 hours skin contact maceration) and looking for a current style. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in a stainless steel vat (always full) (90%) and 10% in a new french oak barrel of 300L. Also, in the barrel, takes place the "batonnage" and aging, for 4 months. The final blend is 95% of young wine and 5% from the barrel. Lightly filtered. Hand harvested. 2800 bottles made."
