Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart! The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order! Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday. 91 Pts Mike Bennie - The Wine Front

"Spicy, roasted nut aromas with bread dough, then stone fruits and florals chiming in. Rich, heady kind of perfume and very savoury. The freshness of acidity is marked – there’s richness and fleshy texture, but it’s all given life by brisk, saline acidity. Fresh fruitiness sits underneath the creamy, spicy mainframe of fruit – it’s an exciting wine to drink, alive, and bristling with textural personality. It is a lot about the texture, indeed. Drink 2012-2018." Reviewed 4/2012

91 Pts Huon Hooke - www.huonhooke.com

"Medium to light yellow colour. Spicy apricot viognier varietal fragrance leads the way. Clean and fresh. Faint nuttiness from barrel maturation. Subtle use of wood. Complex and appealing. Intense and rich in the mouth, enlivened by good acidity, and finishing spotless and dry. Long, too. This is interesting wine: I like it a lot. 80/20 chardonnay/viognier, but the latter drives the aroma and flavour. Drink 2012-2016." Reviewed 2/5/2012

Description:

"This is 75 to 80% chardonnay and roughly 20% is viognier. Chardonnay is a leaner component and from the Summit vineyard, from the lower part of the vineyard on deep, silica sand. The idea is the chardonnay is pretty linear, the viognier 'richer'. The viognier comes from two vineyards, 'they're the only two white varieties we have en masse, so we thought why not blend them' says Klein. He says they are looking for a more complex white here, and looking for freshness too. 'I really like the two as a blend' says Klein, 'we didn't benchmark it on anything... it's a good winter white as it has body and complexity'. Whole bunch pressed into barrel (some new oak, less than 15%), full lees, spontaneous fermentation, full malo, on lees for a year, blended, no fining, little sulphur, into bottle. 'It's all about the texture' says Klein."Mike Bennie, Wine Front - May 2012
