About Domaine Des Soulanes
The Domaine des Soulanes is located in Mas de las Fredas, unique place for the beautiful scenery and the value of silences.

The location of the three Mediterranean grape varieties, Grenache (black, white, gray), Carignan (black, white, gray) and Syrah is perfectly suited to terroir. Geologiquement, composed of metamorphic schists of sedimentary marl clay and limestone, the vines are blooming on steep soils, arid and stony thanks to its tough morphology.

From the beginning of the twentieth century, the property was passed from father to son, the vineyard and its environment remained preserved through an applied method of organic farming. After 15 years of working closely with the owner of the vineyard and wine making, we decided to acquire this property with my wife. A "sunny side" is facing hill south southeast. The vineyard of 16 hectares, located in the South of France (Eastern Pyrenees), in the municipality of Tautavel, in a natural corridor surrounded by scrubland at the foot of rocky peaks of the last Cathar stronghold, Castle Queribus.
