"A red table wine from the Upper Douro region, produced solely with grapes from the Quinta de Vale de Cavalos, in Numão.
Made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca grapes, it is deep red in colour, with aromas of dark red cherries and some spices, medium-bodied and with smooth and elegant tannins.
From the region of Douro Superior, and vinified at Quinta das Quartas, this lovely red embodies dark cherry fruit on the palate with a touch of spice.
Deep red. Dark cherry fruit aromas with a touch of spice. Medium-bodied with great polish and elegant tannins." - Winery

"Located in Numão, a prime winemaking region, all the vineyards are planted with the finest varieties of vines. The quinta was purchased in 1988 and boasts approximately 51 hectares of land under vines, divided in three lots: Ribeira Teja, Catapereiro, Tanque and Zoc.
The rolling land requires no supporting walls, which makes working the vineyards that much easier. Ribeira Tejaâs proximity to a reservoir created by a recently-built dam, together with a sophisticated drip irrigation system, are essential to overcoming the effects of the frequent droughts the region that suffers from the lowest annual rainfall in Portugal." - Winery
