Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

Description:

Wine:
"La Fleur des Graves is the top cuvee of the property. This wine is one of the best whites of the appellation. Its blending, richer in muscadelle and Semillon, brings a better ageing potential. It is elegant, and has white flower aromas, apricot and peach." - Importer

Winery:
"In 1930 the Glotin family purchased the domaine, and Henriette Glotin ran it for 40 years. She was one of the first woman winemakers in Bordeaux and she devoted herself passionately. Son Paul extended the estate to restore its original surface, which had been broken up through the centuries. Today, Yves runs Goudichaud in the same spirit of respect for the traditions and of development.

The estate covers 120 hectares, composed of vineyards (50 Ha), forests (40 Ha) and grasslands. It has the particularity to represent a continuous precinct with natural boundaries (river and forest). Hence the charm of this space, protected by nature and respectful evolution.

In order to get the best out of this terroir, our vineyard is mostly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (50 per cent) for the red and rose wines. This Cabernet Sauvignon, just as the Cabernets Franc (10 per cent), can reach an optimal phenolic ripeness on our slopes. The Merlot (40 per cent) is situated on the plateau, a less constraining and more adapted soil.

As for our whites, they are produced from Sauvignon Blanc (80 per cent), spread out for the most part over the coolest soils of the estate so as to exalt its fruit aromas (citrus fruits). The Muscadelle and the Semillon (20 per cent) form an ideal complement in the clay soils nearer the Dordogne.

While being continuous, the soils display a great diversity from one side of the estate to the other. This diversity is our wealth.

The vineyard can be divided in 3 parts: a central plateau which soil is composed of clay and limestone, the gravels being situated 1 meter deep; then on each side of this plateau, the gravelly slopes enjoy optimal exposure. These gravelly soils, proper to the Graves de Vayres, are clayey, deep and generous. Our gravels, coming down from the Massif Central and carried by the Dordogne river, have this double characteristic of being both draining and nutritive thanks to their association with the clay." - Importer
