Notes on the Comando G La Bruja de Rozas
The 2013 Comando G La Bruja de Rozas is 100% old vine Garnacha grown at around 3,000ft elevation in the remote Sierra de Gredos, where the grapes fully mature while preserving acidity and maintaining freshness.

"The 2013 La Bruja de Rozas is their village wine from Las Rozas de Puerto Real, pure Garnacha from various vineyards across the village. Compared with the 2012, it feels more compact, more defined, gaining in precision, depth and complexity, with a mixture of violets, red berries, balsamic herbs and a spicy touch. The palate is medium-bodied, with very good balance, very fine tannins and a fine thread of acidity providing backbone to the wine. This might well be the best vintage of Bruja so far. Stay tuned! Comando G was the name used in Spain for one of those Japanese cartoon series of the 80s, where some kids were kind of super heroes. The three winemakers (Daniel G. Jiménez-Landi at the time with his family winery and now on his own, Fernando GarcÃa of Bodegas Marañones and Marc Isart of Bernabeleva) met while studying in 2005, and started this joint project, Comando G, in 2008. They thought of themselves as the Comando G (Comando Garnacha, in this case), where their mission is to make the best Garnacha in the world. Since January 2013, Marc left to focus on his work at Bernabeleva and his family, while Daniel and Fernando continue the Comando G mission on their own. This is now their main project and where they are investing in their focus. They seem to go from strength to strength and are getting closer to their goal with some of their wines achieving world-class status! Notes on the Lunae Vermintino - Black Label
The Vermentino Etichetta Nera is the wineryâs flagship wine and the recepient of many accollades including the coveted 3 Bicchieri Award by Gambero Rosso for 5 years in a row. The traditional characteristics of vermentino are enhanced here by the cold maceration on the skins which translates into richer and more complex sensations on the nose and in the mouth. Aromas range from spring flowers to acacia blossom honey and golden apple. Crisp with a touch of saltyness on the finish. Due to its complexity this vermetino is best enjoyed with food such as all types of seafood dishes but also poultry and white meat course." - Importer
