91 Pts Ian Dorin - Wine Library

"If you think Burgundy is confusing, and hard to find value, the only name you need to know is Pavelot. These wines always over deliver and age far better than you might ever expect. This year is incredibly approachable, yet still shows plenty of structure for aging. Brilliant wine you can't own enough of."

88 Pts Neal Martin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2012 Savigny-les-Beaune Village has a radiant bouquet with red currant and quince aromas that are nicely defined. The palate is smooth right from the start with a mixture of red and black fruit, sappy ripe tannins and a touch of white pepper sprinkled over the succulent finish. This is very satisfying for a village cru." (12/13)

88 Pts Allen Meadows - Burghound

"A markedly ripe nose of earthy plum and dark currant aromas leads to seductively rich and velvety middle weight flavors that possess fine mid-palate concentration before terminating in a balanced and utterly delicious finish. This is a very solid Savigny villages that will drink well young if desired."

88+ Pts John Gilman - View from the Cellar

"The 2012 Savigny-les-Beaune AC from the Pavelots is going to be a very nice bottle, as it offers up a fine nose of black cherries, blackberries, Savigny spice tones, a touch of game, dark soil, currant leaf and a discreet base of cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nicely fleshy on the attack, with a good core, modest tannins and fine length and grip on the focused finish. A very polished 2012 villages. 2016-2035."

Description:

Easily one of Burgundy's hottest value-priced estates, don't miss out on the wine that Burghound said had an "utterly delicious finish."

Domaine Pavelot has been red hot in the last 5 years, and with the ever rising price of Burgundy, he remains a beckon of value. All the critics are jumping on the bandwagon, and fortunately we still have some delicious wine to offer!

Coming from a parcel that is right next to one of Pavelot's top 1er Cru vineyards, this outrageous value over delivers for the money. Even in a vintage where the quality is high and production was cut by 40%, you still find a scant few must-own values, and who better to get it from than one of the masters of red Burgundy value! All the critics love how well this is drinking, and commend it for being a superb village wine, and we couldn't agree more!

Don't miss out on this stunning find from the tremendous 2012 vinatge!
