Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!
You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!
Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

"Fabulous intensity of dried pineapple, grapefruit and minerals. Full-bodied, tangy and intense. Wow. A new white wine from here. 100% sauvignon blanc." (04/14) |
91-93 Pts Antonio Galloni - Vinous |
"The 2013 Les Hauts de Smith Blanc (Sauvignon) is impeccable from start to finish. Pear, jasmine, slate and lime meld together in a vibrant, chiseled white long on class and personality. This striking, precise white will drink nicely for at least a few years. The Hauts de Smith Blanc is 100% Sauvignon Blanc." (04/14) |
Description:
Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte is a storied property, dating back to 1365 when the noble Bosq family started growing grapes on the same estate. Over the course of several owners, the estate experienced a major turning point when, in 1990, the Cathiard family bought the property and made major investments in both the vineyards and the cellar. The wines of Les Hauts de Smith are vinified and aged with the same care as the batches that will become the Grand Vin of the Chateau.
They initiated the concept of Bioprecision, an approach combining low intervention, almost entirely biodynamic viticulture, and a very detailed analysis of their terroir, soil and ripening of the grapes. In the cellar, they created something called a "Stealth Cellar", which was energy positive, and almost invisible from the outside by being partially underground and hidden by surrounding trees.
Here's the best part: Les Hauts de Smith is much more distributed in the French (and some European) markets, making this wine all the more special.
"I was deeply impressed with the wines I tasted at Smith Haut Lafitte. In 2013, the whites and reds are both terrific throughout the entire range. Winemaking remains pretty straightforward...the whites are aged on their lees in barrel, with the malos blocked. These remain some of the most distinctive wines in all of Bordeaux." - James Suckling
"Designed during the blending of Smith Haut Lafitte, the wines of Les Hauts de Smith are vinified and aged with the same care as the batches that will become the first wine of the Chateau.
The great white wines of Smith Haut Lafitte are, in fact, remarkable thanks to their strong personality, and inimitable because they reflect the essence of our terroir. We do everything within our power to bring out and enhance this personality.
We pick the grapes entirely by hand in several waves, just like in Sauternes, to harvest only the ripest, healthiest, bunches, leaving the others behind to ripen further.
The wine is entirely chateau-bottled on an ultra-modern bottling line in a nitrogen atmosphere to guarantee the quality and ageing potential of our great wines." - Winery
