The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

92 Pts David Schildknecht - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"Just over half Syrah, along with Grenache, Carignan, the 2010 Cotes du Roussillon Villages L’Edre has turned out beautifully, albeit less flamboyantly than either its immediate successor or several of its successful predecessors. Whereas in the case of the case of Castany’s and Dieunidou’s Carrement cuvee I found the 2010 significantly weaker than the 2011, which displayed in turn more diversity than its ostensibly flagship cuvee counterpart, this 2010 flagship gives free rein to herbal, mineral and carnal elements as well as to seamlessly ripe fruit. Cassis and dark cherry, black tea and rosemary, carob and cherry pit, smoked and roasted red meats mingle on a palate that features fine-grained tannin, soothing glycerol, infectious juiciness, and mouthwatering savor that linger past the point where I succumb to temptation and take the next sip. I would expect this to perform impressively through at least 2018."

Description:

Inspired by the wines of the Northern Rhone, owners Jacques Castany and Pascal Dieunidou have become stars in the tiny village of Vingrau in the Cotes de Roussillon region in the south of France. Their Syrah based cuvee, L'edre, is a blockbuster effort bursting with body, texture and complexity. These exuberant, high energy offerings have won the hearts of our staff, as well as the staff at Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, as the Domaine de L'edre wines are no strangers to big scores.

Coming from the amazing 2010 vintage, this cuvee is a dynamic effort brimming with character, and is a smash hit "cellar defender" with plenty of great years of drinking ahead of it. Jeb Dunnuck of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate tasted through a vertical of the estates wines going back to their first vintage in 2003, and noted the wines were still aging strong.

Don't miss out on this tremendous value for your cellar!

Tasting Notes:
"Inky purple/black color. Layers of dark fruit (cassis, black cherry) on the nose, with prominent oak, underlying mineral character, and hints of graphite/pencil shavings. A big wine, with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish." - Importer
