"This driving blend of Malbec with Syrah and Cabernet hails from Argentina's most northern vineyards. Bruising black plum and cassis aromas have mossy, floral sidenotes. Sweet, creamy-rich and very ripe, with dark berry flavors complicated by crushed stone, roast coffee and truffley earth. Reasonably well balanced for 15.6% alcohol. "The winery and vineyards are located in Maimara in the northwest of Argentina. The vineyards are located at the foothills of the Paleta del Pintor Mountain at an altitude of 8,202 feet. It is considered to be the highest altitude winery in the world. This is the only winery inside of the Humaguaca Creek, which is a unique location, declared by UNESCO as a Natural Heritage Site in 2003."
