Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

90 Pts Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The outstanding 2012 Petite Sirah is a 21,500-case cuvee of 100% Petite Sirah that was aged in a combination of 60% French oak and 40% stainless steel. While surprisingly soft and civilized for a Petite Sirah, it does not lack for flavor authority or density. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by notes of blueberries, blackberries, incense and camphor. Meaty, rich and spicy with a hint of road tar, the sweetness of the tannins and the lushness and opulence of the wine are amazing. This tastes like a $30-$40 Petite Sirah, but it's available at less than half that price." (11/14)

Description:

"Intensity of color, rich black and brambly fruits, vanilla bean and roasting coffee aromatics are complemented by remarkable approachability in the 2012 SPELLBOUND PETITE SIRAH. The wine is crafted to unleash dark and luscious characteristics, while managing tannins to deliver an opulent and juicy Petite Sirah. This lush yet easy-drinking wine provides intense berry character, with superb texture you will fine in none other than Spellbound Petite Sirah.

Petite Sirah is a dark and brooding grape varietal. The texture and tannins come directly from the skins and, as a result, the Lodi and Central regions of California were chosen as a grape source for the 2012 Spellbound Petite Sirah. The rich soils in this area allow the vines to produce slightly larger berries – and the larger berries produce a high juice-to-skin ration. This is very important because the tannin profile is reduced while the dark, luscious, and juicy fruit remains the signature of our top-selling wine.

"To soften the tannins and enhance the brooding fruit character we targeted a slightly shorter than average fermentation and skin contact time. We have found that the shorter fermentation time with Petite Sirah allowed us to capture all of the fruit character and reduce the tannins. After fermentation we moved the Petite Sirah into small French and American oak barrels to develop the wonderful flavors of rich caramel, vanilla bean, and roasting coffee aromatics. Everything about making Petite Sirah rocks; vibrant color, unbridled berry character and plenty of texture creating the perfect balance and one of the most exciting wines that will leave you Spellbound." - Rob Mondavi Jr., 4th Generation Winemaker" - Winery
