The 2012 Clos Saint Jean Chateauneuf-du-Pape "Vieilles Vignes" (old vines) is one of the finest wines of the appellation, with Jeb Dunnuck of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate giving the wine 94 points and describing it as a "brilliant 2012." The domaine of Pierre Usseglio is now run by Pierre's sons, Jean-Pierre and Thierry. Their best CdPs regularly received ratings in the 95 - 100 range from Robert Parker and the 2012 offered here is in that league.
