Three very important points about this special offer on the ultra premium Arietta 2006 Variation One Napa Red. Yes ... we said it ... 2006! This is a release right from the Library at the Winery!!! Not only that, Robert Parker and Stephen Tanzer have raved!

1) - This is one of the most incredible vintage Library releases from Napa we have been able to acquire in years.

2) - The TOTAL production of this wine was 500 cases. They had very few cases left in their library and we thrilled to be able to bring them into Wine Library for sale this holiday season.

3) - The wine was made by Andy Erickson who's resume reads like a who's who list of high end Napa Valley estates.

We made this deal while we were out in Napa in August and it is a first for us this year. The first chance we had to go into one of Napa's top wineries and pick up something from their library. Something that is ready to drink now, from one of the world's best winemakers, and from one of Napa's hottest names.

Andy Erickson, Arietta's winemaker, is one of the most accomplished winemakers of his generation. After working at wineries in Napa and South America, he earned his Masterâs Degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of California, Davis, in 2000. Prior to joining Arietta in 2005, Erickson worked for Harlan Estate as assistant winemaker, and for Staglin as winemaker. Ericksonâs first project for Arietta was the development of its first-ever white wine, Arietta On The White Keys. Erickson assumed control of winemaking at Arietta with the 2006 vintage. Erickson also makes wine for Favia, Dalla Valle, Ovid and Dancing Hares.
