Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

93-95 Pts Jeb Dunnuck - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"And one of the most impressive wines I was able to taste from the appellation, the knockout 2012 Rasteau Les Esqueyrons checks in as a blend of 55% concrete aged Grenache and 45% barrel-aged Syrah. It offers gorgeously pure creme de cassis, black raspberry, violets, wild herbs and hints of toast in its full-bodied, seamless and layered personality. While a big, rich and textured effort, it is perfectly balanced and stays focused and clean. Don’t miss it. Drink 2014-2024. Run by Jean-Pierre Bertrand, with consulting help from Philippe Cambie, this top-notch estate covers over 70 acres, mostly in Rasteau."

90 Pts Stephen Tanzer - Vinous Media

"(a 50/50 blend of grenache and syrah): Inky purple. Deeply pitched aromas of dark berry liqueur, cola and licorice, with a smoky quality building in the glass. Energetic blackberry and cassis flavors are sweetened by a building note of mocha. Finishes pliant and spicy, with velvety tannins and a late kick of tangy minerality. -JR" (04/14)

Description:

WINERY:
"The first hectare of the estate was planted in 1875. Their cellar built in 1926, and was the first private cellar of Rasteau. The real start in vine growing was in 1930, when Maurice Leyraud (the grandfather of Jean Pierre's wife) decided to plant Grenache and Carignan, instead of cereals and olive trees. In 1989, Jean Pierre started to work in the estate at 24 years of age, and in 1999 he took over management of the entire estate. At that time, he asked a dear old friend of his, Philippe Cambie to help him with his wine business. Today, Jean Pierre is running a 20 Ha estate and annually produces nearly 200 Hl in Cootes-du-Rhone and 500 Hl in Rasteau. The estate is composed mostly of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre, on clay and limestone soil. Harvest is 100% destemmed and vinification takes place in concrete tanks and old French Oak barrels." -Importer
