Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

91 Pts Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2011 Colli Orientali del Friuli Sottozona Cialla Ciallabianco is a blend of 60% Ribolla Gialla, 30% Picolit and 10% Verduzzo. The winemaking philosophy is very specific in the case of this wine: Ciallabianco shines the spotlight on three important indigenous grapes that best represent this tiny territory that straddles Italy and Slovenia. The wine opens with a bight golden color and shows oxidized aromas of caramel, butterscotch, candied fruit and dried apricot. Naturally, this opulent style won’t appeal to everyone. If you’re a fan of the 'Orange school,' you’ll appreciate the depth and complexity on display. It should only improve with time. Drink: 2015-2020."

"Founded by Paolo and Dina Rapuzzi, Ronchi di Cialla is an under-the-radar estate that had played an important role in affirming the territorial identity of Albana in the township of Prepotto. Specifically, their contribution has been the revival of almost-extinct indigenous grapes. When they started working with Schioppettino (also known as Ribolla Nera) in the early 1970's, less than 100 vines of the grapes existed. The estate follows natural and organic winemaking functions with ambient yeasts and slow, steady macerations (for whites and reds alike). These are fascinating, inspiring wines." (12/13)

Description:

WINERY:
"This historical Friulian Estate is strictly a family business. While Dina and Paolo Rapuzzi, who founded it in 1970, were attached by wine growing, their children Pierpaolo and Ivan belong to a generation that 'grew up with vines'. The policy of the estate was from the beginning to work only with indigenous varieties, such as Ribolla, Refosco, Schioppettino, Verduzzo and Picolit that in the Cru' Cialla found the perfect environment. After 40 years Ronchi di Cialla established on the market the reputation to produce some of the finest aged-worthy wines of Friuli." -Importer
