Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

Description:

"Situated in the Terrasses du Larzac sub-district of the Coteaux du Languedoc, Domaine de Malavieille has been in Mirieille Bertrand's family for 6 generations. It is an estate steeped in tradition, with dinosaur footprints and Gallo-Roman archeological remains serving as a testament to a long history of the land and its people. This unusual blend (50% Petit Manseng, 50% Chenin Blanc) offers aromas of peaches and apricots, with a light mineral character and perfect balance of ripeness and acidity. Will complement a wide range of foods, including blue cheeses, fish/shellfish in rich sauces, and more." -Importer

VINIFICATION:
"Nearly 90 acres at Malavieille, planted to 17 varietals, most traditional, some new and some startling! Also more than 50 acres at Le Mas de Bertrand, in Saint Saturnin de Lucian/Montpeyroux. Certified Organic (Agriculture Biologique). Organically farmed. From 40 year old Chenin vines and 35 year old Peit Manseng vines. Fermented in oval, egg-shaped, concrete tanks. Bottled with sterile filtration after about a year. No malolactic fermentation, unoaked." -Importer

WINERY:
"The Malavieille property was given by Monsieur De Themine to his farmer Flucran Reynes when he had to flee the country for Lousiana in 1793 to escape the French Revolution. Fulcran and his wife Zenobie challenged this unwelcoming soil to cultivate the vineyard. Later, they handed it down to their grand-daughter Cecile Vigne, married to Monsieur Lacas. She had to fight against phylloxera. The current owner is her descendant, Mireille Lacas-Bertrand whose her goal is to make a type of wine which honours the land it is made from."

"At the same time, the Bertrand family run and make wine on the Saint Saturnin de Lucian and Montpeyroux vineyards. The latter was created by Juliette, Monsieur Bertrand’s grandmother who, after WWI grafted the Carignan Bleu which is still cultivated today out of respect for Juliette’s courage and self-abnegation." -Winery
