A beautifully balanced, harmonious Brunello with virtually no hard edges, the 2008 should drink beautifully for another decade, if not more. It is one of Montalcino's under-the-radar jewels. "Mid ruby with orange-tinged rim. Savoury and a little herbal/vegetal but quite compelling. Loads of grainy tannin structuring sweet fruit while becoming a little dry on the finish. "The Lecciaia purchased by Mauro Pacini in 1983, transformed and equipped with the most advanced winemaking techniques, Azienda Agricola is young but in full respect of ancient traditions of Brunello di Montalcino. Situated in the locality Vallafrico the border with the oldest and most prestigious farms in Montalcino , where the particular location, the soil structure and the goodness of the microclimate in the past have allowed the birth of the prestigious Brunello wine."
