We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!
Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

"This well-made, 10,000-case Sauvignon Blanc from the chalky soils of Chavignol, was vinified and aged in stainless steel. Abundant notes of honeyed grapefruit, lemon rind, freshly cut grass and crushed chalk give the wine a distinctive minerality. Drink this crisp, medium-bodied white over the next year." |
Description:
Wine:
"The wine is incredibly fresh and mineral, and stands in contrast to this vintage which tends towards richer, heavier wines often with residual sugar. It has good depth, lovely, citrusy fruit, and a classic flintiness on the nose and palate. The wine comes from the villages of Sancerre, Chavignol (near 'Monts Damnes') and d'Amigny. The wine was aged on its lees in stainless steel for 10 months before bottling." - Importer
Producer:
"Foucher-Lebrun is a "Petit Negociant" specializing in wines from the Loire Valley. The company's mission is to convey as accurately as possible the expression of the appellations in the Loire region by careful selection, vinification and ageing of its wines. Foucher-Lebrun was founded in 1921 by Paulin Lebrun, a cooper by trade, who developed his company servicing a clientele made up of restaurants and cafes. During the 1950s, his son-in-law, Raymond Foucher, began bottling the company's wines and in 1985 handed over the management to his son, Jacky Foucher."
"In late 2009, the company decided to try raise its image as well as develop its business overseas, so they brought on a new partner, Jean Mounard, who runs a fine and rare wine brokerage business in Paris. Mounard is now overseeing the selection process for the wines of the company. He has also begun an activity of producing small quantities of wine from selected plots in Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume and Saumur-Champigny (from purchased grapes) and raising them in their cellars outside Pouilly-Fume. Given his deep experience tasting the great wines of the world (he deals regularly in such luminaries as DRC, Mouton, Domaine Leflaive, etc), as well as his contacts among top producers in the Loire, he has been able to significantly raise the bar in terms of the quality of the wines. The current offerings offer a truly remarkable price/quality ratio. Also, by tapping his connections at some better quality cellars in the region, the wines display a real sense of their underlying appellations and are made with a balance and delineation usually found in much more expensive wines." - Importer
