90-92 Pts Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate	"The 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape is composed of 64% Grenache, 19% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre and the rest Cinsault and Vaccarese largely aged in foudre with some small oak and tank influence. Typical of what this estate has been doing over recent vintages, it is a sexy red with all the Provencal typicity one could expect. Loads of garrigue, black cherries, strawberries, new saddle leather, Christmas fruitcake, licorice and lavender make this 2011 a real winner. The wine's low acidity and plushness suggest it should be drunk over the next 7-8 years." (10/12)

Lush and appealingly sweet, offering open-knit blackberry and blueberry flavors and a touch of candied flowers. The vanilla note comes back on the sweet, supple finish. At the heart of this prestigious appellation, created in 1933 (it was the first "appellation d'origine" in France), Domaine des Senechaux is one of the oldest vineyards in the region. Located in the noble area of the "plateaus", the estate covers 27 hectares including 24 hectares of red grape varietals and 3 hectares of white.
