Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

92 Pts Jeb Dunnuck - The Rhone Report

"Following on the heels of the outstanding 2010 and 2011, the 2012 Chateau Pesquie Cotes du Ventoux Terrasses is up there with the best vintage of the cuvee to date. Comprised of 70% Grenache (60-year-old vines) and 30% Syrah (30+ year-old vines), aged 6-8 months in 40% new oak barrels, it is essentially declassified Quintessence and comes from hillside vineyards lying between 840-930 feet in elevation. Bottled unfined and unfiltered and transparent ruby in color, it offers up a gorgeously pure, supple, and seamless profile with kirsch and berry styled fruit, licorice, and flower like qualities all emerging from the glass. Elegant, forward, delicious, it gains in stature in the glass, is ridiculously textured from such an inexpensive wine, and has sweet tannin emerging on the finish. Buy this thrill ride of a Cotes du Ventoux by the case and enjoy bottles over the coming 3-5 years." (03/13)

92 Pts Jeb Dunnuck - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"In the same mold and an awesome value year in and year out, the 2012 Cotes du Ventoux Cuvee des Terrasses is a blend of 70% Grenache (60-year-old vines) and 30% Syrah (30+-year-old vines) that was aged two-thirds in concrete (and some in stainless steel) and one-third in older oak. Made from a blend of different terroirs on the estate (and basically declassified Quintessence) and coming from hillside vineyards lying between 840-930 feet in elevation, it offers up a gorgeously pure, supple and seamless profile with kirsch and berry-styled fruit, licorice and spring flower-like qualities all emerging from the glass. Elegant, forward and delicious, it gains in stature in the glass, is ridiculously textured from such an inexpensive wine, and has sweet tannin emerging on the finish. Buy this thrill ride of a Cotes du Ventoux by the case and enjoy bottles over the coming 3-5 years."

"Easily one of my favorite estates from the up-and-coming Ventoux region, Chateau Pesquie is run by the talented brothers, Alexandre & Frederic Chaudiere. The wines sell for a song, yet always deliver high-quality, loads of character and impeccably made profiles." (12/13)

Description:

Winemaking/Vineyards:
"The vineyards are facing south at an altitude of 230 to 260 meters. Aged 6-8 months in oak barrels: 40 % of which are new and 60 % of which have been used one or two times previously." - Importer

Producer:
"In 1985, Paul and Edith Chaudiere left their jobs in private industry (she was a voice therapist and he was a physical therapist) to study wine at one of France’s top wine universities at Suze la Rousse. 1989 marked the creation of the property in Mormoiron, one of the tiny villages dotting the beautiful countryside under the Mont Ventoux. Since then, they have been pushing the quality envelope in the zone, forcing other growers to raise quality as well. The name "Pesquie" comes from old provencal (which by the way is still spoken by a few people in the area) and means a "water basin" (the property is built on the site of an old pond.) The wines from Pesquie are some of the best values in the EC portfolio and would be double the price if grown just 20 minutes away in more "known" appellations." - Importer

This wine was also rated 87 Points by the Wine Spectator.
