Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

Description:

Wine:
"The Le Bertille Rosso di Montepulciano is a bright, ruby colored wine with intense aromas of fresh, red berries, dark cherry, plum and violets. Less intense and more fruit forward than its Vino Nobile brother, the wine is fresh, complex and harmonious on the palate. This is classic, elegant Montepulciano with sweet, integrated tannins, and a silky, persistent finish."

"Aging done in old, Slavonian oak casks with an extended period of must maceration. Fastidious management of the vineyards, summer pruning, bunch thinning and extreme, selective harvesting allows for a limited but singularly, high quality production. In the case of Le Bertille, their Rosso yields are exactly the same, as their extremely, low yielding, Vino Nobile. Additionally, rather than a place for a Vino Nobile winery to market their second quality fruit, the Le Bertille Rosso is a totally separate, vineyard entity, comprised of the estate's younger vines." Winery:
"Azienda Agricola "I Poderi di San Gallo" in Montepulciano, is composed of the Bertille and Casella estates and covers around 20 hectares. The soil composition is mainly tufa-clay with a variety of exposures. Eight hectares of vineyards are currently in production with a further seven hectares coming on line with the 2008 vintage. The estate includes a centuries-old olive grove and a beautiful lake, an oasis for migrating herons. For most of the producers in Montepulciano, Vino Nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano are moving in an "international" direction with the inclusion of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in the grape blend along with the use of French oak "barriques"."

"I Poderi di San Gallo follows traditional, time honored, wine making techniques with aging done in old, Slavonian oak casks with an extended period of must maceration. The grape varieties cultivated, traditional to the Montepulciano area, are the prugnolo gentile (the local name for Sangiovese), Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Canaiolo and Mammolo for their Rosso di Montepulciano. Fastidious management of the vineyards, summer pruning, bunch thinning and extreme, selective harvesting allows for a limited but singularly, high quality production. Upon passing the bar exam and becoming an international lawyer, the Roberti family's daughter, Olimpia, changed direction and became director, viticulturist and wine maker at I Poderi di San Gallo. The winery's label name "Le Bertille" is the name of one of the local communes from the Montepulciano area, as well as, the namesake of one of the San Gallo estates." - Importer
