Product Details:
Please note, this wine is a presale and is set to arrive at the end of January.
Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!
You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!
Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.
Best Price on Web is determined by Wine-Searcher Pro prices as of yesterday: Wine Library sells this for our sale price of $59.99. There are 4 other stores that sell this wine from $60 to $69.99. You must be logged into the Pro Version of Wine Searcher to see all of the results.

Description:
"Heady honeysuckle nose. Round and big at first and then a bit pinched on the finish. Some interest and savour but oddly restrained on the finish. Drink 2011 to 2013. (JR)" - 16 out of 20, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages. (11/10)
WINE:
"It is the most mineral and austere of the three cuvees that Francois produces. It sees no botrytis and no new oak. The vineyards are in the commune of Chavannay. In the nose it offers lovely honeysuckle, ripe melons and ripe peaches. In the palate it enters with great freshness and ripe flavors of peaches and apricots. It has abundant minerality and it is very dry. Medium to full bodied, it is more earth driven with very good definition and length." - Importer
"Soil type is broken down granite and quartz. Wine is fermented in barrels (25% new) at low temperature, followed by six months with batonnage once a week. No racking. Indigenous yeasts. Aging in barrels for 10 months." - Importer
PRODUCER:
"Known as a Condrieu "master", Francois has grown his tiny domaine from 4 to 7 hectares and still produces a minuscule amount of highly allocated bottling. Referred to by Robert Parker as one of the few "stars" of the Northern Rhone, Francois has recently acquired a small parcel in Cote-Rotie and a few areas in St. Joseph. "
"Formerly a chef, Francois brings his brings his complex palate to the winery to produce wines of power and grace that age for years. Francois Villard's strategy is to allow for the most optimal ripening period possible."
"His wines, as a result, are rich and concerted with complex aromas of peaches, apricots, honeysuckle, and honey for the whites and leather and spice for the reds/ The whites are often allowed to develop botrytis and most of the wines pass though wood aging for an extended amount of time to prepare them for a very long life in bottle." - Importer
