The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. 95 Pts Jeb Dunnuck - The Rhone Report

"Referring to the musician Amadeus Mozart, and the top wine of the estate, the 2010 Domaine Vindemio Cotes du Ventoux Amadeus is an absolute knockout offering that will compete with wines 2 to 3 times the price. A blend of 80% old vine Grenache and 20% Syrah that was aged, on lees, for 6 months in stainless steel, it has rock-star aromas of blueberry, blackberry liqueur, spring flowers, licorice, and distinct minerality that emerges with time in the glass. Full-bodied, incredibly pure, and voluptuously texture, yet also light, elegant, and well structured on the palate, this brilliant Cotes du Ventoux is certainly one of the top wines coming out of the appellation. It will benefit from another year in bottle, and most likely shine for upwards of a decade. Make no mistake about it; this is a serious wine that over delivers." (10/12)

Description:

"Vindemio is a vineyard estate created in 2006 by a group of friends united by a passion for wine, and a belief in the conviviality and pleasure that comes with wine. They have been brought together by Jean Marot, former winemaker of Domaine le Murmurium, and his son Guillaume. The small property, at the foot of Mont Ventoux, consists of 25 hectares of organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards near the villages of Mormoiron and Villes sur Auzon at about 300 meters elevation. In the October 2009 issue of the Wine Advocate, Robert Parker commented, "Sadly, there is no American importer for this estate, which was founded in 2006."- No longer an issue!" - Importer

"The name "Amadeus" refers to the musician Amadeus Mozart who shared joy and pleasure through his music. Similar to Mozart, Vindemio shares the pleasure of wine using Grenache, the grape of the south, as their instrument to express the terroir of Cotes du Ventoux." - Importer
